Jackpot (part 2)

To be honest, I never planned to make 2 writings titled Jackpot.  But, because I just got another jackpot yesterday, I decided to make Jackpot part 2.

Well, as we know, hehe, I am in the middle of on the Job Training of Ministry of Finance, Directorate General of Taxes (DGT).  Having temporary placement in Central Office of DGT, which is at Jl. Gatot Soebroto, I can't use CommuterLine.  I can, actually.  But it will take tremendous effort to be at the office.  I should go to the train station using siBeat (causing my Mom couldn't use it to the market), take two trains to Sudirman, and then take 640 bus to reach Lipi, and walk for about 500m.  It is hard.  Especially that my office hour starts at 7.30am.  What time should I leave home? 5am and prepared for jostling mode? No, thank you.

Actually, for solely going to the office at 5 am is my daily routinity, and I'm fine with that.  Because everyday I take Trans Galaxi bus, which starts from my neighborhood. And I can sleep during my way to the office.  No need to jostle as using CommuterLine, just sit back and relax.  And it only take IDR 10.000.  While if I used Commuter, it will take IDR 4.000 + 2.500 + 2.500 = 9.000.  Just IDR 1.000 difference, not worthy enough for my energy.

The only problem is way back home.  Let's get rid of CommuterLine option first.  Because I shall not have enough energy if I took CommuterLine to go  home.  The only rational option is taking bus.  There are so many kind of buses to Bekasi.  There are Mayasari Bakti, APTB, Harapan Indah, Kemang Pratama, Trans Galaxi, etc, to East Bekasi or West Bekasi.  The ticket starts from IDR 6.000 to 13.000. Usually, I take one of that buses, and pull over at Jatibening exit gate.  From there, I take "ojeg" to my home, cost IDR 20.000.

Here is the problem.  I feel sorry for myself because I have to spend so much money on my way home.  It doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the ojeg, because the distance from Jatibening to my home is quit far, and IDR 20.000 is commensurate with it.  But, since I am still the apprentice of Civil Servant of DGT, I haven't got full salary, and just having IDR 900.000 every month for the next several months.  If we calculate, I have IDR 10.000 + IDR 10.000 (the average cost) + IDR 20.000 as transportation cost.  And I haven't mention about consumption cost yet, which is about IDR 20.000 for lunch.  Therefore, I will spend IDR 60.000 a day, times 20 working days.  It means, I should have at least IDR 1.200.000 a month.  And it doesn’t include communication cost, or any other the unexpected cost.

That’s why, I look for the cheapest one to way home.  And Allah hears my pray.

DGT has shuttle bus for the employee, including to West Bekasi.  For free, but the passangers usually collect monthly fee for extra earning for the driver, and also for the sake of each bus.  Including shuttle bus to West Bekasi, which is IDR 125.000 per month.  Yesterday, I tried that shuttle bus. At first, I thought the bus would be full, and I would be standing until I reached West Bekasi.  But I was wrong, because there were still two empty seats remained.  The bus was comfortable.  And the most exited news was, that shuttle bus might pull over near to Taman Galaxi gate.  Hoho, it’s an inch away from my house, ish.  I just need to take public transportation number 05A cost IDR 2.500, and walk for a couple minutes to be home.  It means, I only need IDR 10.000 + IDR 2.500 + IDR 20.000 times 20 working days + IDR 125.000 a month, with the total amount IDR 775.000.  Another jackpot for me.

Maybe, Allah showed me that way by giving me courage to take shuttle bus yesterday, because Allah wants me to feel how hard it is to spend much money on solely transportation.  So I would never underestimate IDR 20.000.  I would appreciate money, even the tiniest nominal, more than ever before.

Yes, Allah may never give us burden more than we can bear.  There will be always the way.
