Just Enough

"Mas, I wanna have a big house with 3 large bedrooms, wide front porch, and my very own closet for keeping all my stuff at one place".

"Mas, what do you think about having a car by next year?  We'd never had to worry anymore about Dad wanting to use his car".

"Mas, I think I'm ready for expanding our family in to three, by using the way our doctor said".

And so on.

But (un)fortunately, none of those has been accomplished.

But still, my life is great enough, even with none of those whishes came true-yet, at least at this moment.

Because right now, my life is just enough.  Enough to dispatch my parents and in law went to Macca (twice, if I may).  Enough to spent almost 50% of our monthly earning as a saving.  Enough to have the chance to sleep soundly on a set of high quality bed linen.  Even enough to send ourselves to Macca by the end of this year.  And all of those things happen only in three years of my married life with siMas.

However, I still wanna have a big house with 3 large bedrooms, wide front porch, and a closet for keeping all my stuff at one place, have our own car so we'd never had to worry anymore about Dad wanting to use his car that we borrow, and have children to perfect our live which is already quite perfect.  But hey, our journey has only just begun.  InsyaAllah, with our persistence, patience, and complete surrender to the Almighty God, those wishes shall be fulfilled.  We just need to meet the right time and moment.

Fortune

I have a friend, she's a mother of two.  She used to be my co-worker at my office.  Until several days ago, she steadied her heart and officially left her job to become a full time mother.

And I love her bold move.

I believe, it's not easy to be a full time mother, especially on her shoes.  For sure, she used to have a stable income making her join income with his husband quite a fortune.  And those fortune, shall be decrease by a half in the moment she quit her job.  But she faces it bravely, saying that her fortune ain't solely measured by cash, since a pair of children is ultimately the biggest fortune a mother could have.

One thing that made me even more adore her, was her speech at her farewell party.  She simply wished, that whenever we conduct our job at the office, we should never forget our basic responsibility to our family.  Yes, it's true that your job shall give you more money to support your family well-being.  But don't forget that it costs lots of our time, being away from our beloved children.  And money couldn't replace the time your children spent without having your presence on their side.

I'm not going to judge on her point of view for prioritizing her family, since it's her choice - because for some other people, having more money seems like a better option to fulfill their children's needs.  Instead, it gave me a whole new respective of fortune.  Because all we need to believe is that the Almighty God shall never forsake us.  Especially when we've lived our life according to the Almighty God's rules.

At least, especially for me, never forget to intent my job as one of my worship to the Almighty God.  And who know, someday, I'm gonna follow her path, to leave this hectic routine, and devote my life for my children.  Soon.  Insya Allah..
